Sassmaster is compiling a great 2-year-old record that now includes two stakes wins in addition to six top-three finishes in seven total starts. His latest score came in the $80,459 Texas Classic Juvenile Stakes on Nov. 10 at Lone Star Park.
Owned by Macedonio Lozano, Sassmaster previously won the Sam Houston Futurity-G2 on April 14 at Sam Houston Race Park. The only off-the-board finish in
his career was a seventh-place
effort in the Firecracker
Futurity-G2 at Delta Downs
on July 7.
Trained by Eusevio Huitron for both stakes wins, Sassmaster added $21,459
to his bankroll in the Texas Classic Juvenile, running his earnings total to $227,478. The win was the third of
his career, and came on the heels of a trial win that,

Breaking from the seven hole, Sassmaster just avoided a traffic jam to his outside that resulted in the disqualification of two horses.
Dont Tell Lila was disquali- fied from sixth to ninth, while One Bald Eagle finished eight and was placed tenth.
Bred by Edward Allred, Sassmaster is the leading money earner of the winning mare Catch You Now, whose three foals are all starters and winners. Sassmaster is her only stakes winner, although First Down Now is a two- time graded stakes finalist. The second dam is graded
