PILE OF MONEY

Qualifying in 17.697 seconds for the seventh fastest time and still running for the Oaxacan Cuadra Armadillo, the
sorrel colt Pile Of Money won an important victory in the twelfth edition of the Juvenile Championship. Having the experienced rider Moises González García as an ally in the saddle, the colt came in second in the qualify- ing races over 1-length behind La Crystal Sola, the filly that topped the qualifiers with 17.562 seconds from a total of 44 partici- pants. The competition was at 350 yards for a purse of 1,836,300 pesos (US $110,648).
As if something magical had happened, the colt (until recently called “El Copeton” with a change of owners and home of Tuxtepec, State of Oaxaca, to Tulancingo, Hidalgo) in the end dominated La Crystal Sola in a duel that looked even better since they came from neighboring gates: Pile Of Money from the 7-hole and La Crystal Sola from 8. Best of all, his time was 17.46 seconds for a speed index of 89, the best he’s obtained in his still short career consisting of two first places and two seconds from 7 starts.
No doubt, this successful effort was made possible by the twins Moises and Héctor Ortuño, owners of the Cuadra Par de Aces, with friends of Cuadra Armadillo. With this victory, the colt takes 918,150 pesos ($55,323 US) to his total earnings and adds points to trainer Martin Leopoldo Galán. Not to men- tion those that selected Pile Of Money as the winner, because they had a return of 20.80 pesos for each bet. The colt was bred in the United States by Edward C. Allred
In second was Ladie Dany (Danny Cartel - Landa Tie, by White Tie) of Cuadra La Presita with Jose Edgar Dominguez on the stirrups. Alfredo Martinez Mora was responsible for her conditioning.
In third place came in JA Midnight Express (Gol - Teki Cet An, by Strawfly Special) for Cuadra Zamarrero assisted by Eddi Cuellar. His trainer is Everardo Flores.
Other positions at the finish line were in the following order: Puddles Cash (Pool – Apollo Moon Cash), Yergonna Hearme Roar (Separatist – Royal Dip), Shake Em Bake (Royal Shake Em – Sharon My Treasure), Ladie Dany (Danny Cartel – Landa Tie), Dany Y Ya (Danny Cartel – Eyell Fool Ya), Browning (Carters Cartel – Tylers First Down), and Looks Like Fire (Walk Thru Fire – Executive Looks).

Million Ways, por Raise A Secret), obtuvo importante victoria en la doceava edición del Campeonato Juvenil, llevando nuevamente como aliado en el sillín al experimentado Moisés González García. En las carreras de calificación llegó en segundo lugar, con más de un largo detrás de La Crystal Sola, potranca que encabezó la tabla general de tiempos con 17.562 segundos de un total de 44 partici- pantes. La competencia fue en 350 yardas, por un premio de 1’836,300 pesos ($110,648 US).
Como si algo mágico hubiera ocurrido al potro hasta hace poco llamado “El Copetón” con el cambio de dueños y de domicilio de Tuxtepec, Estado de Oxaca, a Tulancingo, Estado de Hidalgo, en la final dominó a La Crystal Sola, en un bonito duelo que lució más porque salieron de puertas vecinas: Pile Of Money de la 7 y La Crystal Sola de la 8. Y lo mejor de todo, su tiempo fue de 17.46 segun- dos, para un SI de 89, el mejor que ha obtenido en su aún corta trayectoria, que consta de 2 primeros y 2 segundos lugares en 7 partidas.
Sin duda una operación exitosa la que real- izaron los gemelos Moisés y Héctor Ortuño, propietarios de la Cuadra Par de Ases, con sus
amigos y aliados de la Cuadra Armadillo, ya que por este triunfo el potro lleva 918,150 pesos ($55,323 US) a su cuenta de ganancias, sumando puntos también al entrenador Martín Leopoldo Galán. Y
ni qué decir de aquellos que en las apuestas seleccionaron a Pile Of Money para ganador, pues tuvieron un retorno de 20.80 pesos por cada uno de apuesta. Una “chica” en toda la extensión de la palabra. El potro fue criado en los Estados Unidos por Allred Edward C.
En segundo lugar concluyó Ladie Dany (Danny Cartel – Landa Tie, por White
Tie), de Cuadra La Presita, con José Edgar Domínguez arriba; Alfredo Martínez Mora fue el responsable de acondicionarla.
Para la tercera plaza finalizó JA Midnight Express (Gol – Teki Cet An, por Strawfly Special), para la Cuadra Zamarrero, asistido por Eddi Cuéllar; su entrenador es Everardo Flores.
