                                    Matt Crawford New Canterbury Director of Racing, Racing Secretary
Canterbury Park Racetrack has hired Matt Crawford to be its director of racing and racing secretary. Crawford currently is the manager
of racing operations and racing secretary at Zia Park in New Mexico, and racing secretary at Sam Houston Race Park in Texas. He began his career in horse racing in 1976 as an assistant trainer before going on to train horses at his own stable for 10 years. He will begin his new position at Canterbury Park in April.
Lazy E Announces $125,000 KVN Corona Bonus Incentive
Keith Nellesen, owner of 2017 Champion 2-Year-Old Colt KVN Corona, has created an incentive program for individuals breeding their mares to the stallion in his first year at stud in 2019 a chance to win a portion of a $125,000 bonus. The program includes bonus money paid to the breeder, owner and trainer of any 2 year old sired by KVN Corona’s first crop that wins any AQHA Grade

Happy Trails Children’s Foundation Dates to Remember
The Happy Trails Children’s Foundation will host the High Desert Shooting Fun Fair on April 27 at the Lions Club Range in Lucerne Valley, California, and the Friends of Happy Trails Banquet will take place on May 18 at the Holiday Inn in Victorville, California. Highest Fire (Corona Cartel-Higher Fire, Walk Thru Fire) will stand the 2019 season at Dunn Ranch near Wynnewood, Oklahoma. The 2011 stallion won four of 13 starts, running second in the Los Alamitos Super Derby-G1 and earning $325,637. Highest
Fire is a stakes sire from his first crop to race, including Wokatee On Fire, who finished sec- ond in the Heritage Place Futurity-G1 and was a finalist in the All American Futurity-G1.
