FDP Rock Solid marked an impressive close to his freshman season by remaining undefeated in stakes races after his victory in
the $303,000 Black Gold 440 Championship Futurity-RG3, for two year olds that were nominated and qualified, at Will Rogers Downs on Nov. 12.
The sunny and calm afternoon provided the sorrel gelding a great opportunity to become a multiple stakes winner with the potential for his second graded stakes victory of the year.
He led from the gate, breaking on top from the 9-hole under jockey Agustin Silva. The pair maintained a neck lead from the first call to the wire. FDP Rock Solid Jess and Silva moved in from the outside and bested the field comprehensively.
The gelding raced down the 440-yard track as the game winner with a time of :21.702, earning a career-high 101 speed index.
FDP Rock Solid’s earnings breeched the six-figure mark after bagging the $121,200 winner’s share of the purse. His lifetime earn- ings now sit at $177,212.
FDP Rock Solid Jess qulified to the Black Gold 440 Championship Futurity on Oct. 28 winning his trial wire-to-wire by 1 1/4-lengths for the fourth-fastest qualify- ing time.

Fastest qualifier to the finals Aberdonian (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Strawfly Sting) finished a game second under Jimmy Brooks for owner James Sills and trainer Eddie D. Willis. The brown gelding was coming off two
back-to-back wins in a pair of futurity trials.
Knockemout Capi (Capo De Capi-Eyesa Knockout) dueled, but was outfinished under Mario Delgado for trainer Manuel Almanza. His connection’s include owners Mayra Sanchez, Moises Esquirel and Adrian Mireles. The sorrel colt won his Oct. 28 trial, qualifying fifth to the finals, and also
won his trial to qualify for the Blackgold 350 Futurity-RG3.
Completing the order of finish were Dancing Capo Decapi (Capo De Capi-Miss Sound Dancer), Shades Of Midnite (Sweet First Down- Midnite Soiree), in a dead heat for sixth were Tac My Prize (Tac It Like A Man-Fast Prize Zoom) and Cartelscandymachine (Cartels Candy Man- Salt Lake Spitty), and then followed by Fast Dynasty (FDD Dynasty-Southern Fast Lady) and Baddest (One Sweet Jess-Love To Finish First). Dauns First Desirio was scratched.
