Race #9 – Cap Attack (#7) broke well and grabbed the lead by the first call, lengthening his advantage to cross the wire 1 1/4-lengths in front and taking the seventh fastest qualifying time. Valiant Jess was second, followed by Painted Rail in third.

Trial #2 –
Race #10 – Teejus Livin (#8) left late from the gates, but picked up
the lead in the stretch and crossed the wire 1/2-length in front to score the fastest qualifying time. El Fargo (#5) dueled and was second best to qualify fourth, while JS Flashing Lajolla (#4) was third to qualify eighth and The Last Union (#7) was fourth for the ninth fastest spot.

Trial #3 –
Race #11 – Tightwire (#5) broke third and took the lead by the first call, finishing 1/2-length in front for the second fastest time. JS Prairie Chicken (#1) broke midpack and was a game second to qualify sixth, while Jess Wired was third.

Race #12 – RP Live Wire Dash (#1) was fourth out of the gate and gained ground throughout to cross the wire 1/2-length in front, qualifying third. Admiral Tom (#6) was second and qualified with the fifth fastest time, while Eysa Separatist (#8) was third and qualified tenth.
