Speedhorse Photo Archive Answer
The photo on page 225 shows Sweet Bye And Bye (Zevi TB-Bye Bye Imgone, Oh Shiney) winning the $189,513 Speedhorse Gold Cup Futurity-RG2 under jockey Tad Leggett for owner/trainer Larry Sharp at Trinity Meadows on Nov. 6, 1994. The 1992 brown filly was also victorious in the Bandera Six Flags Futurity-G3 and West Texas Winnermaker Breeders Futurity that same year. In 1996, she also won the Denim N Diamonds Handicap. Sweet Bye And Bye made starts in five states: New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, California and Colorado. She ended her racing career with a record of 39-13(4)-8(6)-5(2) and $324,563 in earnings.
Pat Sharp and Barbara & J. Barley bred Sweet Bye And Bye out of 3-time winner Bye Bye Imgone. Sweet Bye And Bye was a half-sister to three additional stakes winners, including 2-time stakes winner and New Track Record Setter Bold Farewell.
As a broodmare, Sweet Bye And Bye produced 100% money earners from 14 starters, including five stakes winners, including California Hi-Point Aged Stallion Dashin Bye, who set a New Track Record at Lone Star Park for 350 yards, as well as Strong Hope.
This year’s $222,000 Speedhorse Futurity-G3 was won by Rappid on July 28 at Fair Meadows.

Regional Racing Awards
Regional racing awards will be presented on an annual basis to horse/owner, breeder and trainer in five regions. Regional awards will determined by the following system:
be
a) Horse/owner per region based on APHA Honor Roll points (see Rule RA-060.D1);
b) Breeder and trainer will be based on total
money earned in that region—the five regions are: Northwest (WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, ND, SD, UT), Eastern (MI, KY, FL), Central (OK, CO), Southwest (TX, AZ, NM, CA) and Canada.
Winner must be a current APHA member to receive their award.
Information on Double-Registered Horses
If your American Paint Horse will also be registered with the American Quarter Horse Association, be sure to select a name that is acceptable at both registries at the time of reg- istration. If you plan to race, all double-regis- tered horses must be named the same at APHA and AQHA. The horse will not be allowed to race at all if the names are not the same.
