PRIDDY FABULOUS

Salvador Villalobos’ Priddy Fabulous secured his second stakes victory this year in the $30,000 Miss Roxie Little Consolation Stakes at Horseshoe
Indianapolis on Oct. 28.
With jockey Francisco Quintero in the irons,
Priddy Fabulous broke on top and led the way throughout the 350 yard trip. The gelding crossed the wire first by 1/2-length and stopped the timer at :17.546, earning a 99 speed index. Priddy Fabulous is trained by Tony Cunningham.
This victory improves the sorrel gelding’s record to two wins, one second, and two thirds from
seven starts. Priddy Fabulous finished third in his trial, behind final winner Red Headed Beach and qualifier Dupont Beach. The $16,500 winner’s share of the purse brought his total earnings to $46,370. Roger L. Lewis bred Priddy Fabulous in Indiana, out of winning 2010 mare My Girls Rock. The dam has produced 100% winners from two starters. Priddy Fabulous is her only stakes winner.
Beach Dreamer (Escondido Beach-FM Future Dreams) finished second under Fernando Morin. The gelding is owned by Arevalo Racing Stables, LLC and trained by J. Arevalo. Beach Dreamer was bred by Sheri Miller.
Chris & Shelly Burkes’ Drag N My Wagon (On The Wagon-Parisz) secured third place by 1/2-length over Eagle Flybye. The gray filly is trained by Tim Eggleston and Jose Ruiz had the riding assignment.
Completing the field were Eagle Flybye (Moonin The Eagle-Bye Bye Corona), Beach Shaker (Escondido Beach-Botticelli Shake), Hazel (Habits Secret-She Be A Diva), Jess A Riot (Jess Zoomin-Mitey Victoria), Special Bad Habit (Habits Secret-PT Special Eyeopener), Malibu Beach (Escondido Beach-Project Runaway), and Lethal Wagon (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Lethal Toll).
MR MICHEL

Mr Michel picked up his third stakes win of the 2023 campaign, taking the $111,920 Indiana Championship on Oct. 28 at Horseshoe Indianapolis.
Alberto Valadez owns Mr Michel, who collected his ninth win in 19 lifetime starts. The $61,556 payday boosted the gelding’s total earnings to $382,892.
Racing exclusively at Horseshoe Indianapolis, Mr Michel now holds five victories in stakes company, including this year’s versions of the Bradford Stakes and Bob Woodard Memorial Classic Stakes.
This race came down to a thrilling finish.
Mr Michel broke near the back of the pack from the outside gate in a 10-horse field and worked his way up to a close second as he entered the stretch. Jockey Edgar Diaz urged Mr Michel into a driving finish during the final yards, making it to the wire first by a neck.
Claudio Barraza trains Mr Michel, who finished the 440-yard trip in :21.710 for a 104 speed index.
Mark Michel bred both Mr Michel and his dam, Lovemelikethat, a stakes winning mare with a bankroll of $277,820.
Tachas Secret (Habits Secret-Sin Tachas Angel), the post-time favorite, finished second for Duke Racing, LLC. The Ricardo Martinez trainee had Fernando Morin in the irons.
WRS Valentino (Mighty B Valiant-WRS Kissandteller) hit the board in third. The gelding is owned by Williams Racing Stables, Inc., trained by Anthony Cunningham, and had Luz Martinez aboard.
The remaining order of finish was HH C J Shake (Escondido Beach-Shakem Jake), Had To Be Ivory (Ivory James-Had To Be Fandango), Lil Pete El Soruyo (Lil Kool Wagon-Pistolpaknprincess), High Rolling Seize (Seize the Win-Crossing the Brazos), On A New Note (One Fabulous Eagle-Corona Cerveza), CV Struttinforakiss (Kiss My Hocks- Struttin for Money), and Winner Spirit (Apollitical Spirit-Ms Victorita).
HAWKIN THE STRAW

Hawkin The Straw proved to be the best in the $55,804 Alex Picov Memorial Futurity on Oct.25 at Ajax Downs. Under jockey Brian Bell,
the gelding ran the 400 yards down a fast track and finished first by 1/2-length for a time of :20.531 and registered a 83 speed index.
Hawkin The Straw is bred and owned by Joyce and Erik Lehtinen and trained by Jason Pascoe. The gelding broke his maiden in September at Ajax Downs. The $22,322 winner’s share increased his earnings to $33,721.
Hawkin The Straw was bred in Ontario and is the only stakes winner out of multiple stakes placed mare Silken Memories. He is the dam’s first stakes winning progeny and is a half-brother to stakes placer Silken Siri by Desirio. Silken Siri placed second in the $45,513 Ontario Bred Futurity at Ajax Downs in July of 2019.
With a clear run, Willie Lump Lump (Big Lew-Valdarama) and jockey Josh Scott earned
their title of second best. The gelding is trained by Bryn Robertson and owned by Carol and Jaime Robertson. He placed third in the $22,615 QROOI Bonus Futurity at Ajax Downs on June 18.
Bob Broadstock trainee General Skywalker (Look At Magics Form-Katies Award) and jockey Ramiro Castillo gave game effort from the inside to finish third for owner/breeder Marie Broadstock. The sorrel gelding won $27,563 Ajax Stallion Auction Futurity in June.
The remaining horses crossed the wire as follows Eye Tempt You (One Valiant Hero-Tempt Yin You), Sugar N Pride (Sugarman Perry-Lady Pagrana), Dashes Of Ivory (Cold Hard Dash-Stolin Ivory), Snow Magically Sweet (Maryland Magic-Sweet Little Chivato), Pretty Magicall (Maryland Magic- Pretty Jane Perry), and Fiesty Feebee (Sugarman Perry-Chissled And Fiesty). Wicked Wild Willie was scratched by the stewards.
