The sire of Rule The Skies is Rare Form, who set the racing world on fire when he set or equaled Track Records in Mexico, Oklahoma and California in 1992. He won the Mexico National Championship, equaling the Track Record for 350 yards in a time of :17.32, and then he came back to the US to win the Special Effort Stakes in a Track Record time of :17.53 for the 350 yards at Remington Park. He set
a Track Record for 400 yards in the trials to
the California Derby in a time of :19.550,
and then won the finals setting another Track Record in a time of :19.350 for the 400 yards at Los Alamitos. He won eight stakes altogether, including the Remington Park Derby-G1, Mystery Stakes-G3, QHBC Sophomore Classic-G2, El Reno Stakes and Champion Prep Stakes. His record shows 27 starts with 17 wins, two seconds and two thirds for earnings of $278,191. He was the 1992 Champion Three Year Old, Champion Two-Year-Old Colt and the Mexico Champion Three-Year-Old Colt. His outstanding race record is even more phenomenal when you find out that he had
to overcome a severe head injury that required major facial reconstruction just to get back to the track. The injury occurred after he was sold as a yearling.
Rare Form sired only 10 foal crops with 507 ROM, 40 stakes winners, 48 stakes placed and earnings of $11,449,673. He sired four Champions: Joanna Kate, the 1999 Champion Aged Mare; Especially Rare, 1997 Champion Three-Year-Old Colt; One Rare Bug, 2002 Champion Three-Year-Old Colt; and Fabulous Form, 1997 Champion Three- Year-Old Filly. As a maternal grandsire, Rare Form has 670 ROM with 47 stakes winners and 71 stakes placed runners. His leading money earner is Too Flash For You, a million dollar earner and winner of the 2014 All American Derby-G1.
The sire of Rare Form was The Signature
 by Noholme, an Australian Horse of the Year. Noholme was sired by Star Kingdom and out of Oceana by Colombo.
The dam of The Signature was Mable Chick Too by Moolah Bux. She was out of Mable Chick by Triple Chick and Mable Chick was out of Wild Mable X by Wild Chicle.
The dam of Rare Form was Especially For You, who went unplaced in three starts with no earnings. She is the dam of 16 starters and 13 ROM with Rare Form as her stakes winner, and then she had three stakes placed runners. The stakes placed runners were Local Edition, second in the 2003 Pomona Championship; Especially Excessful, second in the 1999 Gold Rush 870 Handicap; and Bold Operator, third in the Campeonato Nacional Dia Del Championship.
The sire of Especially For You is World Champion Dash For Cash, a son of Rocket Wrangler and out of the mare Find A Buyer TB by To Market. The dam of Especially For You is Tiny Be Mine by Go Man Go and she is out of Triple Tiny by Triple Chick. This gives Rare Form a breeding pattern of 4x4
to Triple Chick, the successful sire and full brother to Three Chicks and The Ole Man. The brothers were sired by Three Bars and out of Champion Chicado V by Chicaro Bill.
Kelly described Rule The Skies as “another Sky Chicks, a big rangy mare.” She is the
dam of seven foals with six starters earning
six ROM with one stakes winner. Her stakes winner was Royal Proclamation, who has a record of eight wins in 24 starts. He earned $305,048. He won four stakes races including the 2009 El Primero Del Ano Derby-G2
in the U.S. and was sold to Mexico where he won three more stakes. They were the 2010 Campeon De Campeones Classic,
the 2011 Inaugural Classic and the 2011 Velocidad Classic. Before going to Mexico, he was stakes placed with a third in the 2009 All American Derby-G1 and second in the 2009 Town Policy Stakes and third in
  the 2010 Remington Park Championship Challenge-G1.
Rule The Skies is the dam of Maggie Redmond, the dam of Triple L Xpress, and this is how Kelly described her. “Maggie Redmond won one race for us. Charley Hunt trained her, and he said she didn’t know if she wanted to be an 870 horse or whatever, she was just a big, gangly mare.” She had just the one win in her nine starts with earnings of $6,708 in earnings. She ran in the finals of the 2013 Prairie Meadows Championship Challenge.
The sire of Maggie Redmond is Wave Carver, the 2006 World Champion, Champion Three Year Old and the Champion Three-Year-Old Colt. He had
18 starts with 11 wins, five seconds and
he earned $1,005,946. His first stakes win came in the 2005 Los Alamitos Juvenile and he was stakes placed with a second in that year’s Golden State Million Futurity-G1. He made his big splash in 2006 on his way to the World Championship with wins in the Champion of Champions-G1, Governor’s Cup Derby-G1 and the Los Alamitos Super Derby-G1. He was also second in 2006 in the Los Alamitos Winter Derby-G1 and the Golden State Derby-G1.
