Saddled by Josue Ponce for owner Jose Ernesto Guzman, Fast Prize Rumor won the fourth trial to earn a spot in the finals of the All American Derby-G1. Ridden by James Flores, Fast Prize Rumor left the starting gates with the leaders and quickly found his way to the front. He held his advan- tage to the wire, finishing 1/2-length in front of his nearest rival while posting a winning time of :21.453. The All American Derby will be the fourth stakes appearance for Fast Prize Rumor, who was second in the Will Rogers Juvenile Challenge, third in the Oklahoma Juvenile Stakes and seventh in the Heritage Place Derby-G3. Bred by Weetona Stanley, the gelding is by Hez Our Secret and out of Grade 1 finalist Coronas Fast Prize si 99 ($45,572), by Corona Cartel. His third dam is AQHA Dam of Distinction First Prize Dash, a full sister to First Down Dash.
ANOTHER SHOT SI 93 $35,864
Trainer Blane Wood and jockey Ricky Ramirez qualified three horses to the All American Futurity, and they extended their All American luck in the trials to the Derby, qualifying Another Shot from the fifth heat. Ramirez and Another Shot broke third and advanced to second while drifting out slightly from post position two. They came within a 1/2-length of winner Jess Move You at the wire while posting a qualifying time of :21.490. The All American Derby will be the second career stakes attempt for Another Shot, who was seventh in the Texas Classic Futurity-G1 last year. Bred by Simmons Racing and owned by Paragon Farms LLC, Another Shot is by Tempting Dash and out of Fontanas Stoli, by Stoli. Fontanas Stoli is a half-sister to multiple Grade 1 winner Okey Dokey Fantasy si 114 ($576,521) out of the multiple stakes producing Lazbuddie mare Fontanas Fantasy si 94 ($21,586).

WAGON CHICK V SI 97 $111,343
Wagon Chick V and jockey G.R. Carter Jr. won the eighth trial with the largest margin of victory
of any qualifier when they crossed the wire 1 1/4-lengths in front of 40-1 longshot Camellia. The winning time of :21.522 gave Wagon Chick V the eighth-fastest qualifying time to the All American Derby. MJR Investments Inc. owns Wagon Chick V, who hailed from the Clinton Crawford stable. The PYC Paint Your Wagon filly has been a consistent stakes horse, running second in the Corona Cartel Derby (her most recent start prior to the All American Derby trials), sixth in the Rainbow Futurity-G1 and 10th in the Heritage Place Derby-G3. Bred by Valeriano Racing Stables LLC, Wagon Chick V is out of 2009 New Mexico Hi-Point Aged Mare Me Chickie si 111 ($231,432), who has also produced JM Onehotchickie si 95 ($32,718) and Chickies Fire si 91 ($19,324).
PAPAWS PAINT SI 96 $213,620
In the first trial to the All American Derby, Papaws Paint avoided the trouble that plagued horses in the middle of the track, resulting in the disqualification of 64-1 longshot Brown Tres Seis from second to 10th. Finding clear sailing from the seven post, Papaws Paint and jockey Bonifacio Perez led from start to finish, crossing the finish line a neck in front while stopping the timer in :21.532. Trained by Todd Fincher, Papaws Paint was bred by Ray Herring and races for R H Resources. The gelding previ- ously won the Hobbs America Futurity-G2 and was third in the Rainbow Derby-G1. Papaws Paint is by PYC Paint Your Wagon and out of the Splash Bac mare Heavenly Trip, who was the New Mexico Hi-Point 3-Year-Old Filly and Aged Mare. Heavenly Trip si 112 ($353,435) is a multiple graded stakes winner who has also produced Trip To The Jungle si 103 ($80,866).

Grade 3 Heritage Place Derby winner PYC Fun N Fancy will line up for the seventh stakes race of his career in the All American Derby. Owned by Jose Guzman and Rito Sosa, the PYC Paint Your Wagon colt also won the Laico Bird Stakes, was second in the Oklahoma Futurity-G3, third in the Heritage Place Futurity-G1, fourth in the Bob Moore Memorial-G2 and eighth in the Oklahoma Derby-G3. Saddled by Josue Ponce in the All American Derby trials, PYC Fun N Fancy went wire- to-wire under James Flores to win the sixth trial by 3/4-length in :21.533. Bred by Weetona Stanley, PYC Fun N Fancy is out of the winning Mr Jess Perry mare First Prize Fancy, who has produced the earners of $1.6 million. PYC Fun N Fancy is a full brother to Ima Fancy PYC si 92 ($454,765), First Fancy Prize si 98 ($113,804), PYC First Prize Fany si 98 ($92,303), and others.
