Inaugural Claiming Futurity Is Almost Here
APHA’s inaugural Claiming Futurity with $17, 500 in added money and an expected purse of $35, 000 plus is drawing closer. This is the opportune time for an individual to claim and own a Paint racehorse. This potential can expand to the reality of qualifying for the finals, winning the purse money, and not to mention saving on costs of the initial breaking, training and entries that were done by others. The claim of $5,000 also sets up potential entrants into the upcoming Grade 1 Futurities at Fair Meadows, Will Rogers Downs and Lone Star Park, overnight stakes races at Fair Meadows, over- night races, state-bred added-purse monies and the 3-year-old stakes races next year. Don’t miss out on this inaugural event and plan to be at Fair Meadows in Tulsa on June 10 to claim your stakes winner.

He was trained by Brandon Parum and owned by Jimmy Maddux. “Grip” is still a big part of the Parum family today! Check out a video of “Grip” heading with Jake Wilson on the APHA Racing Facebook page.
