The Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association held their annual Hall of Fame Inductee ceremony at the historic Skirvin Hilton in Oklahoma City on January 14.
Individual inductees who have been signifi- cant in the growth of the Oklahoma Quarter Horse industry or who have been outstand- ing in their area of activity involving the Quarter Horse in Oklahoma included Darrell Bilke, Roy Browning, Sr., Frank Merrill, Jim Scarbrough and Stuart Ranch.
Horse inductees who have been outstanding over a period of years as a sire, dam or competitor included Bert, Royal Santana and Trixie Blake.
The Bud Breeding Oklahoma Spirit Award, which honors individuals who exemplify the spirit of Oklahoma Western Heritage involve- ment in equine activities, was given to Lee Allan Smith.
