Bred in New Mexico by MJ Farms, Daddysqueenofalice is produced from the
First Down Dash mare Alice K White, and
she was a $180,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate. Her dam was a Champion on the racetrack and a Champion producer. The Champion 3-Year-Old Filly of 2009, Alice K White won the 2009 Golden State Derby-G1 and that year’s La Primera Del Ano Derby-G2 en route to amassing career earnings of $276,837 for owner MJ Farms. In addition to her success on the racetrack, she is the dam of the Jesse James Jr daughter Astica, who was the Champion 3-Year-Old Filly in 2015.
Runner-up Call Me Jessiecartel (Jess A Chicks-Lilly Cartel), ridden by Serio Becerra
Jr., bobbled at the start and offered game chase through the lane to finish second for owners Empire Racing and Pavon Racing LLC. Trained by Eric Valenzuela, Call Me Jessiecartel broke his maiden in his previous start, tallying a win in his trial heat. Mike Abraham bred the sorrel gelding in New Mexico, and he was a $23,000 Ruidoso New Mexico-Bred Yearling Sale graduate.
Valenzuela also saddled third-place finished Over Da Edge (Eye Am King-Da Edge) who was piloted by Francisco Calderon. The sorrel filly, who won her trial heat, is owned by Miguel and Mauricio Gallegos and was bred
in New Mexico by MJ Farms. Over Da Edge was a $24,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate, and she was also a finalist for the New Mexican Spring Futurity-RG2.
Kelly Isa Chick (Jess A Chicks-Corona Kelly), Untangled Queen (Eye Am King- Tangled Vines), Patriotic View (Jet Black Patriot-Aviewfromthefront), Black Jack Patriot (Jet Black Patriot-Lasting Episode),
Da Edge of Gray (Big Daddy Cartel-Da Edge), Chica Boom Babe (Chicks Regard- Riverside Babe), and Bigg Shades Of Gray (Eye Am King-Bigg Alice) completed the order of finish.
