The third annual Ruidoso Foal-In-Utero Sale was held during the Ruidoso New Mexico Bred Sale on Aug. 17 at Ruidoso Downs. Preliminary results show all 20 of the con- signments were sold and grossed $396,500, an 11% increase over last year, with an average of $19,825 and a median of $13,500.
The high seller at $55,000 was Hip# 227, consigned by Bobby D. Cox and purchased by Valeriano Racing Stables. By Champion Moonin The Eagle and out of Ruidoso Futurity-G1 winner All About Ease, the foal is a sibling to 11 black type runners. The sec- ond-highest seller at $52,000 was Hip# 226, consigned by Dr. Rick Beck and purchased by West Texas Racing Partnership. By Chicks Beduino and out of 3-time graded stakes win- ner Five Bar Molly, the foal is a half-sibling to Champion Five Bar Cartel.
