an important part of the legacy of his family that includes an All American win by the great gelding Ochoa in 2011. Ochoa is by Tres Seis, a maternal half-brother to Fortune Of Delight, the dam of A Delightful Dasher. By the way, the dam of Ochoa was Stolis Fortune by Stoli a son of Strawberry Silk. A double dose of the All American Dream.

Runnning Brook Gal is the third All American Futurity winner in this review that is a homebred winner of this race. She was bred by Albert and Chad Richard’s A & C Racing of Utah and then owned by their A & C Racing and Roping. She is by Brookstone Bay and out of RJK Runaway by Runaway Winner. The A & C Racing team for the 2009 Ruidoso racing season also included another Brookstone Bay filly named Brooks Midnight.
The first race for Runnning Brook Gal came in her Ruidoso Futurity trial, which she won and then finished sixth in the finals. Her stable mate Brooks Midnight was third in her Ruidoso Futurity trial, but failed to qualify. Their next test came in the Rainbow Futurity, where they both won their trials and qualified to the finals. They squared off in the finals, with Runnning Brook Gal running second and Brooks Midnight running sixth.

Runnning Brook Gal went into the All American trials and came out as the only horse to qualify for
all three of the Ruidoso Triple Crown races. She did it by winning her trial as the second fastest qualifier in :21.213. Her stable mate Brooks Midnight won her trial and qualified as the tenth fastest in :21.418. The fastest qualifier was Love Samba in :21.201. The third fastest qualifier was First Corona Call in :21.252. The fourth fastest qualifier was Favorite Cartel in :21.305, followed by Shesa First Ratify in :21.330, Winners Cartel in :21.331, Swingin Daddy O in :21.358, Gols Victory Pop in :21.394, and Jess So Sixy in :21.402. Runnning Brook Gal and Brooks Midnight would not face off in the finals, as Brooks Midnight was scratched.
The day of the finals found a muddy track that was officially listed as fast and sealed. When the gates opened, the first call showed that Favorite Cartel was off slow, but that Runnning Brook Gal
was off with the lead and race favorite Love Samba got an awkward start and was never able to rally. Runnning Brook Gal, with Ramon Sanchez in the saddle, went on to win the race over Shesa First Ratify by 1 1/2-lengths in :21.144. She earned the $1,000,000 winner’s share of the $1.9 million All American Futurity purse. Runnning Brook Gal became the third All American Futurity winner for her trainer Paul Jones. Third place went to First Corona Call, followed by Favorite Cartel, Love Samba, Swingin Daddyo, Winners Cartel, Gols Victory Pop and Jess So Sixy.
Runnning Brook Gal was another one of our subjects that didn’t stop after the All American Futurity. She went on to run second in her trial to Hobbs American Futurity and then second in the finals. Then she won the Southwest Juvenile Championship-G1. She had nine starts with five wins and three seconds to earn $1,315,317. She
