    1990 AQHA World Champion Junior Barrel Racing Horse. She was also Superior in open barrel racing earning 108 AQHA points in the amateur and open divisions. She was also a stakes placed runner with a third in the 1988 Louisiana Bred Lassie Futurity-G3.
Jet’s Pay Day was sired by Jet Deck, a multiple racing Champion, including the 1963 World Championship. He became a noted sire of horses that earned $6,804,246 with 486 starters with 383 racing ROM with 67 stakes winner including the World Champion Easy Jet.
Jet Deck was sired by Moon Deck by Top Deck and out of Moonlight Night by Peace Pipe, a Thoroughbred that was noted earlier through Under Fire in the pedigree of Jim Bo. The dam of Jet Deck was Miss Night Bar by Barred, a AAA rated son of Three Bars and Barred was out of Ready by Red Joe of Arizona by Joe Reed P-3. Croton’s Pay Day was the dam of Jet’s Pay Day, and she was sired by Croton Oil by Leo, the double bred grandson of Joe Reed P-3.
 It was at this point that we stopped, and Martha talked about the appearance of the Joe Reed blood in these barrel horses. She noted this about the Joe Reed blood. “Yes, it’s really helpful for a barrel horse. I think it was the balance. They were such balanced horses, low hocks. They weren’t huge horses, they were balanced horses. Like a football quarterback, they knew what they were for and every one that I ever tried made it. “
Taffy’s Song was the dam of Jetonfer Pay and she was unplaced in one official start. She was sired by Songman, a Thoroughbred stakes winner of $71,812 winning the 1961 California Derby Trial. He was the sire of 42 Thoroughbred starters with 23 winners and two stakes’ horses. His stakes horses include Caldwell, winner of the 1976 Texas Derby. The AQHA shows that he sired 17 foals listed with three starters and one ROM. The ROM was Bee Song an AA runner with four wins in 30 starts.
Songman was sired by Princequillo, the broodmare sire of Secretariat. The dam of Songman was Bright Song by Carrier Pigeon by Equipoise, the paternal grandsire of Top Deck. The dam of Taffy’s Song was Real Jane by Real Gone by Be Sure Now by War Admiral by Man O’War. The dam of Real Gone was Gold Bar by Three Bars. The dam of Real Jane was Taffy Hank by Wolf Hank by Hank H, an AA rated racehorse sired by King P-234.

Swen Sir Bug qualified Martha for
the 1987 NFR. But he also has a very interesting distinction, and we will let Martha tell us about it. “I got to go to the Olympics in 1988 in Calgary, Canada, on Swen Sir Bug. He is an interesting one because he took me to the Olympics.”
When asked what the Olympic experience was like? She responded, “It was great. I had watched the Olympics for years never dreaming rodeo would be there. They called and because Calgary was such a rodeo town, they included a rodeo. We got to go according to how we ended up at the NFR that year. They took the top three barrel racers and the other events. You know Lane Frost was one to go.” They earned the team gold and a bronze for individual.
She said this about his style as a barrel racer. “He was kind of a little bit high headed but could run and turn. Was real snappy in his times. He always excelled at the Astro Dome. But the main thing
