An added note: An examination of runners sired by Clabber indicated several New Track Record holders, more than could be profiled individually at this time. This includes eight horses, and these horses indicate the underlying speed that the Clabber bred horse brought to the beginning of modern Quarter Horse racing. The list includes Tonta Gal, Buster Boy, Clabber Babe, Clabber V, Clabber’s Lady V, Clabber II, Clabbertown G and My Clabber.
The review of Clabber shows us that he came on the scene in Arizona to be a successful racehorse and to provide an outcross on the blood that we have seen in these foals that came from the Possum bloodline. Then he went to California to make a significant contribution to the building of the Vessels Stallion Farm
that became home to so many legendary Quarter Horse racehorses.

Flossie was like her daughter Do Good in that she had two foals sired by
Clabber. They were Clabber’s Flossie
V and Clabber Girl V, both unraced. Clabber Girl V had no registered foals. Clabber’s Flossie V was the dam of six ROM runners with two stakes winners and two Champions.
