First Line Syndicate
At Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale
First Line Syndicate was launched on May 1, 2016, by the Quarter Racing Owners of Ontario Inc. and is made up of a group of 20 owners. The syndicate won their first race wire-to-wire with CR Party With Corona at Ajax Downs in August of 2016. The 2013 sorrel filly is conditioned by syndicate trainer Bob Broadstock.
In January of 2018, Broadstock and others made their way down to Oklahoma for the January 18-20 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale, where they sold CR Party With Corona for $8,000 after two years and three wins. While there, the syndicate also purchased a new horse, Eye Am The Eagle, for $6,500. Eye Am The Eagle is a 2015 bay gelding that has made six starts at Remington Park and Will Rogers Downs.
According to the First Line Syndicate release, “First Line Racing members attended the Heritage Place auction January 18-20 in Oklahoma City. The trip started with an emotional farewell to our beloved CR Party With Corona. It is our understanding that she will be bred to one of the Lazy E stallions and we’re hoping to get an update. First Line Racing had a good year in 2017, all of us learning a lot about
owning and racing a horse plus with the help of Ajax Downs,
some of us learned how to bet on a horse. It was such an amazing
experience. First Line Racing decided to purchase another horse for
the 2018 season. Introducing Eye Am The Eagle, purchased at the
auction on January 19, 2018.”
