 The last weekend of July was packed with lots of racing and another horse sale in Brazil.

The Jockey Club of Sorocaba hosts racing and a sale.

   Haras Flower Fields/LM Stud/Haras Santo Angelo Auction was held at the Jockey Club of Sorocaba.
On July 27-28, the Jockey Club of Sorocaba, in Brazil, hosted live Quarter Horse racing and an auction, featuring quality animals,
fast races and new champions, and ending with a sale that met all expectations.
Horsemen closely followed the final Grand Prix of the President of the Jockey Club of Sorocaba - Derby III - Mr. Ralph Lima Terra. Competing in the 402 meter race were Best Mate, Dominador Splash and Lemon Special, who each won their qualifying race on July 14. The schedule on July 28 opened with
the Grand Prix Sao Paulo - I Triple Crown qualify- ing races, with 11 animals entered in the three races at 301 meters. There were also several special races including the Fly On Smash - Triple Crown 2005; Creon Bryan - Triple Crown 2006; Mucho Money
- Triple Crown 2007; Only PK Champion - 2008 Triple Crown; and the Exodus Fly Toll ZO - Triple
Crown in 2009. After the races, the Jockey Club of Sorocaba hosted the Auction Field Flower Stud/Haras LM/Haras St. Angelo, with the help of the MBA Auctions.
Lemon Special (Dash To Chivato-Special Sign RR) was the big winner of the day, earning $35,000 for winning the most awaited Grand Prix of the day, the GP President of the Jockey Club of Sorocaba
with a time of :21.89. Owned by Petraccone Braga Ribeiro and bred by Marcelo Jorge, Lemon Special was trained by J. Souza Tavares. Finishing second was Dominador Splash (Splash Bac-Darlin Bryan PK), with a time of :22.03.
The schedule was packed. After three qualifying races for the Grand Prix São Paulo - I Triple Crown, Eletrika Bryan PK (:16.65), More Granite (:16.93), and Bright Filly Stone (:16.94) earned a spot in the August 11 final.
