SEVENTH ANNUAL
MEXICAN QUARTER HORSE BREEDERS’ CUP

Under the organization of the Mexican Association of Horse Breeders and Horsemen, A.C (AMCCCCM) and with the sponsorship
of Purina Mexico, the Seventh Annual Mexican Quarter Horse Breeders’ Cup was held in honor of national breeders of Quarter Horse racehorses.
There were 10 competitions under different conditions and awards, where 85 Mexican breds participated, of which 65 (76%) were 2 year olds who starred in the race card, particularly the finals and consolation of the Select Auction Futurity. The purse paid in prizes to the horsemen was $8,455,095 pesos (approx. US $431,644).
In the breeding division, Salomé Gallegos, the breeder of Felino Horse and By Jess Horse, were of note, triumphing in the Everardo Múzquiz Stakes and Alberto Bailleres González (Consolation), respectively.
As owner, Rancho Victoria was awarded on two occasions for the outstanding performance of its individuals Corona Teller and Kool Coronita, in the Héctor Roldán Arreola Stakes and Abelardo Gallegos Stakes in that order.
In the riders division, José Ángel Ambrosio went to the podium three times due to his victories leading Cassandra Native GC, Felino Horse and By Jess Horse.
The stock of Everardo Múzquiz Elguezábal took honors with the gelding Rex Sambaso, owned by Rancho El Suspiro, who was crowned winner of the Select Auction Futurity, which this year was in honor of Ramiro González Ozuna, breeder of the colt LA Rapid King
Judea - the winner of this stakes race in 2018 and having died on Aug. 28.
At the end of this section, the pictures of each race and the winner’s award is presented, as well as a summary with the most relevant data of the Seventh Annual Mexican Quarter Horse Breeders’ Cup.
Because of its importance, the level of the participants, and the prizes paid, following is
a chronicle of the following races: The Ramiro González Ozuna Stakes, which corresponds
to the final of the Select Auction Futurity;
the Alberto Bailleres Stakes, which is the consolation of the aforementioned futurity; and the Salvador Oñate Stakes.

Bajo la organización de la Asociación Mexicana de Criadores y Caballistas de Caballos Cuarto de Milla, A. C. (AMCCCCM) y contando con el patrocinio de Purina México, se realizó la Séptima Copa Criadores en honor a productores nacionales de caballos de carreras de esa raza.
Fueron 10 competencias bajo distintas condiciones y premios, donde participaron
85 ejemplares mexicanos, de los cuales 65 (76%) son dos añeros quienes estelarizaron la función, particularmente la final y consolación del Futurity Subasta Selecta. La bolsa pagada en premios a los caballistas fue de $8’455,095 pesos ($431,644 US aproximadamente).
En la división de crianza destacó Salomé Gallegos, criador de Felino Horse y de By
Jess Horse, que triunfaron en los clásicos Everardo Múzquiz y Alberto Bailleres González (Consolación), respectivamente.
Como propietario, Rancho Victoria fue premiado en dos ocasiones por la destacada actuación de sus ejemplares Corona Teller y Kool Coronita, en los clásicos Héctor Roldán Arreola y Abelardo Gallegos, en ese orden.
En la división de jinetes, José Ángel Ambrosio pasó al pódium en tres ocasiones, por sus triunfos conduciendo a Casandra Native GC, Felino Horse y By Jess Horse.
La crianza de Everardo Múzquiz Elguezábal se llevó los honores con el castrado Rex Sambaso, propiedad del Rancho El Suspiro, quien se coronó campeón del Futurity Subasta Selecta que este año fue en honor a Ramiro González Ozuna, criador del potro LA Rapid King Judea, campeón de este clásico en 2018 y fallecido el pasado 28 de agosto.
Enseguida se incluye un resumen con los datos más relevantes de cada carrera, y al final de esta sección se muestra la foto del ganador y de la premiación correspondiente, excepto de las tres que se mencionan en el párrafo siguiente.
Por su importancia, nivel de los participantes y los premios pagados, a continuación, les presento la crónica de las siguientes carreras: El Clásico Ramiro González Ozuna, que corresponde a la final del Futurity Subasta Selecta; el Clásico Alberto Bailleres, que es la consolación del citado futurity; y el Clásico Salvador Oñate.
