                Las Americas Futurity
CUZ MY DADDYS FAMOUS

As of 2019, the Mexico Futurity is now carried out under the name of Las Américas Futurity, restricted to 10 partici- pants without any requirement of origin. On this occasion, seven two year olds bred in the United States competed at 400 yards for a prize of $298,900 pesos (approximately
US $15,500).
The colt Jess Candy Power was the favorite of the fans, closing with odds at 0.85 to win due to his success in unofficial races.
From the start, the filly Cuz My Daddys Famous (#7) placed herself
in front of the group and
freely traveled the route
without finding serious
opposition. In the first leg
of the race, Bolt tried his
best to take the lead, as
did Wavin Alibi (#3), but
their attempts were unsuc-
cessful. The aforemen-
tioned Jess Candy Power
(#6) diverted towards
the outer rail, although
she struggled at the end,
reaching third place, far
from Cuz My Daddys
Famous and Bolt, who occupied first and second place, respectively.
Yair Daniel Báez Soto rode the winner, stop- ping the clock at :19.46, for a 96 speed index.
Bred in the United States by Mark and Annette McCloy, she was purchased at the Ruidoso New Mexico Bred Yearling Sale for $9,000 and is owned by the young horseman José Julián Gutiérrez Gómez, who entrusted training to the also young trainer Rubén Romo Hernández.
The aforementioned were present at the awards, in addition to Adrián Gutiérrez Gómez, brother of José Julián, accompanied by José Ramos and connections of the win-
ning team.

out of Cuz Shez Famous (by One Famous Eagle), Cuz My Daddys Famous marked her second victory in six out-
ings from which she has also obtained a second and third place. Her first place check was $149,450 pesos (approx. $7,750 US), this being her first stakes win with Cuadra JJ.
The sorrel colt Bolt was second under the command of Aaron Adrian Gomez. He is by Kiss My Hocks and out of
Speeding and is owned by Cuadra Leny. He is trained by Alejandro Martínez Delgadillo.
Jess Candy Power arrived in third under Alejandro Gómez. By Mr Jess Perry and out of Send Candy Power, the colt is owned by Cuadra Jalisco 3 Cruces and trained by José Luis Tavizón Barraza.
The remaining order of finish was: Wavin Alibi (Wave Carver–Ima Southern Alibi), Coronas Fire Honey (Walk Thru Fire–Coronas Fast Honey), Gone With The Wynn (Coronas Fast Dash–Azoomin With Jessie) and Kiko Dash (First Down Dash- Corona Crystal).

esta ocasión se inscribieron siete partici- pantes de dos años criados en los Estados Unidos que compitieron en 400 yardas, por un premio de $298,900 pesos ($15,500 US aproximadamente).
El potro debutante Jess Candy Power, fue el preferido de la afición, cerrando con momio de 0.85 a primer lugar, debido a sus antecedentes en carreras no oficiales.
