La Feliz Montana Ranch LLC bred Bodacious Eagle out of 2-time winner Bodacious Dream, a finalist in the 2007 Hobbs America Derby-G2 and Sunland
Park Derby-G2. She has produced 100% money earners from 26 starters, including Emnent, runner-up in last year’s Firecracker Futurity-G2. Bodacious Eagle is her first stakes winner and top earner.
Second-place Jesstacartel (One Sweet Jess- Stolmeacartel) won the Los Alamitos Super Derby-G1 and Golden State Derby-G1 earlier in the year. Cruz Mendez rode the gelding for owner Lesley Joyner and trainer Mark Skeen.
BH Lisas Boy (Mighty Invictus-Apollo Snowbound) finished third under jockey Cesar DeAlba, who had announced that he would
be retiring at the end of the Los Alamitos
meet the next night. Bill Hoburg bred, owns, and trains the gelding, who was coming off
