Jockey Victor Olivo returns a winner
Fetching Beauty is out of the winning Mr Jess Perry mare Jess Racy Eyes. The second dam, Miss Racy Eyes, won the Speedhorse Futurity-RG2 and also produced stakes winner Racy La Jolla and stakes-placed Stepenos. Miss Racy Eyes is a half-sister to Champion Miss Racy Jess. Jess Racy Eyes has three winners from three starters, including stakes-placed Bolt Lightly.
Ed and Sammye Carter’s homebred JJ Hitman (Hard Hitting-JJ Dash) finished second with Berkley Packer in the irons. Stacey Capps trains the colt, who won his trial by a half-length in his racing debut.
Royal Rythm (Royal Blue Chew Chew- Supersonic Rhythm) also won his trial and then ran third in the final. Gaylin Childers bred and owns the gelding, who was ridden by Kenny Muntz and is trained by Eddie Lee Willis.
Completing the field were Sassy Spit Curl (Spit Curl Jess-First Prize Corona), One Valiant Hero (Valiant Hero-Smiles All Around), Swingin Debut (Swingin Jess-Elegant Debut), Shakeitdontbreakit (First To Shake Six-Let Me Tell Her), Tuff Princess LBH (Stoli-Sixarun Bug), and Preying For Ivory (Ivory James- Prey). CR Tuckernuck was scratched.
