  Pozzi & Kisskiss Bangbang Set Standard wPattern Record
Two-time World Champion Barrel Racer Brittany Pozzi and her homebred 5-year-old mare Kisskiss Bangbang, aka “Mona”, set a world record on a WPRA standard pattern
at the Tough As Steel Slot Race in Loveland, Colorado, with a time of :16.479. The previous record of :16.586 was set at the West Regional Championships in Porto Felize in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in February of 2013 by Courtney Duncan on Ms Perky Bug.

Twaynas Dash Dies
Twaynas Dash si 106 (Dash For Cash- Twayna, Rebel Cause) died due to the infirmities of old age. The bay stallion, who was born in 1986, earned nearly $24,000 winning the Oneida County Fair Derby, finishing second in the Pilgrim Handicap and San Luis Obispo Handicap. He was also a finalist in the QHBC Sprint Classic-G1 and Z. Wayne Griffin Director’s Stakes-G3. From 23 crops of race age foals, he was the sire of nearly $2 million in race earners. His top runner was stakes winner HQH Cash Bandit si 96 ($177,633). Twaynas Dash was also a top sire of barrel horses with nearly $200,000 in barrel money earners, including his top earner Dashing Chester ($39,044).
Letta Hank Do It Dies
Letta Hank Do It (Snazzy Hank-Slash J Harletta, Harlan) died Oct. 28 at the age of 30. The 1985 palomino stallion was a barrel futurity, derby and WPRA money earner. He was a finalist in the World Championship Futurity, Lazy E Barrel Futurity, Texas Barrel Derby, etc. Letta Hank Do It was sired by Champion barrel sire Snazzy Hank, and out of one of the barrel indus- try’s top barrel producers, Slash J Harletta. The mare is an AQHA Open Performance Champion and the dam of multiple barrel Champions, includ- ing Fire Water Flit, who is an all-time leading sire of barrel money earners with nearly $3 million. Letta Hank Do It is also a leading barrel sire with multiple Champions and nearly $400,000 in earn- ers, including PBHA Amateur World Champion Performance Horse Call Me Nutrageous.
  AR Star Dies
AR Star si 99 (Shawne Bug-Star’s Apollo,
Go Win) was euthanized Sept. 8 due to old age. The bay stallion, who was born in 1988, earned $163,707 on the track winning the Black Gold Futurity-RG1 and Oklahoma Bred Futurity-RG3, finishing second in the Remington Park Oklahoma Bred Derby-RG3 and third in the Black Gold 440 Futurity. He was also a finalist in the Remington Park Championship-G1. Although he was the sire of only one race starter, he excelled as a sire of barrel horses. He is the sire of nearly $200,000 in barrel money earners, including his top earner Royal Star Commander ($79,555).
