John Deere Les Bois Juvenile Challenge

ms Eaves appears to like Idaho more than her native state of Texas. Eighth in her rac- ing debut at Sam Houston Race Park in March,
Ms Eaves has turned in much better efforts at Les Bois Park in Boise. With only three starts there, she broke her maiden and captured the John Deere Les Bois Park Juvenile Challenge.
Victory in the Challenge not only elevated Ms Eaves to stakes winner, it guaranteed her a berth
in the Oct. 27 John
Deere Juvenile Challenge Championship-G2 at Prairie Meadows in Iowa.
With Joe Crispin aboard for the Les Bois Juvenile Challenge, Ms Eaves broke fourth and rushed up late in the 350-yard event to grab the lead from Im That Right and win by a neck in :17.789. Dynasty Red, the 2-1 favor- ite, finished third.
Adequan Les Bois Derby Challenge
After winning a 300-yard maiden race for trainer Rod Hyde, Ms Eaves finished third
in her Challenge trial to fastest-qualifier Margaritas N Coronas. It was the quickest heat because the first three across the line were the first three qualifiers by time.
Oscar Jaime Diaz owns Ms Eaves. He pur- chased her with Juan Perez for $10,000 at the 2011 Heritage Place Yearling Sale. Christine
Hudson bred the filly from Little Ms Tuff Stuff. The mare has produced two other placed runners and is the granddam of stakes-placed Chicks Jess Call Me. Little Ms Tuff Stuff is also a half- sister to stakes winner Gonna Get It On.
Im That Right (Tac It Like A Man-Rieda Hay Worth) won one race and finished second in two others prior to the Les Bois Juvnile
Challenge final. In the Challenge, Uriel Dominguez piloted the gelding, who is owned by Denny and Sandy Weigt and trained by Monte Arossa.
Dynasty Red (FDD Dynasty-Red High Heels) earlier this year finished second in the Bitterroot Futurity-G3. Nate Smith rode him in the Challenge for trainer Lin Melton, who owns the gelding with Spackman Racing.
Rounding out the field in the Les Bois Park Juvenile Challenge were Jess Bet (Swingin Jess-Miss Kittys Bar Bet), Margaritas N Coronas (Corona Czech-Fly Margarita), Secret Hero (Valiant Hero-With Real Intent), Best Kept Secrets (No Secrets Here-Gold Daze), The Midnite Caller (A Regal Choice-Cee
The Blurr), and Im Corralitos Baby (Chicks Corralito-Im Brendas Baby). RG Tres Effort was scratched.

Bux For Cocktail doesn’t like horses catching her, making her a very dangerous foe. In
10 starts, the filly has won seven, all by at least
a half-length. She most recently added the Adequan Les Bois Derby Challenge by three- quarters of a length.
As is her usual style, Bux For Cocktail motored to the front as the gate opened in the 400-yard event. With Nikeela Black aboard, Bux For Cocktail refused to
let anyone near. Fols Jesse
tried to close, but could only
grab second, a head in front
of Shez Jess Toxic. Bux For
Cocktail, as the 2-1 favorite
and fastest qualifier, sped the
distance in :19.729.

at Prairie Meadows. After beginning her career at Les Bois Park last year with two wins, she captured the 2011 Intermountain Futurity
at the Elko County Fair and ran third in the Turf Paradise Juvenile Challenge. She ended the year as the Idaho Quarter Horse Association’s Champion 2-Year-Old Filly.
Walker bred the winning mare A Perfect Cocktail to Zoomin For Bux to get Idaho-
bred Bux For Cocktail, the mare’s only starter. A Perfect Cocktail also has a yearling colt by Mr Jesse Lee named Jesses Perfect One.
Mesa Valley Farms LLC’s homebred Fols Jesse (Jesse James Jr-Sheza Jet Dash) has raced exclusively at Les Bois, with two wins and a second in the Knights Transportation Futurity in seven starts. Mark Skeen trains the gelding, and Joel Cruz rode.
Shez Jess Toxic (Take Off Jess-Dashing Fly Lady) had a four-race win streak going for Dean Frey, her owner, breeder, and trainer. Cody Jensen rode her, as he did when she dead-heated for victory in the John Deere Juvenile Challenge Championship-G2. Shez Jess Toxic set a track record when qualifying for that race in winning the Evergreen Park Juvenile Challenge.
Completing the field were SW Count
On Me (Count Corona-Raise A Rhoda), CM Got Overserved (Corona For Me-Mi Fames A Dandy), Queens Dasher (Dashin Bye-Snowbound Queen), Rare Wave (Wave Carver-Rare Encore), RGR Jungle Jock (First Down Dash-Jungle Raised), Maniac Zac (Mighty Invictus-Cindy Strawford), and Whata Corona Runner (Corona Cartel-AB What A Runner).
