• The $8 Million Sires represent 2.6% of all Million Dollar Sires.
• Four of the $8 Million Sire, or 33%, are Thoroughbreds.
• Only one $8 Million Sire was born after 2000 – Teller Cartel in 2003. Only two
were born in the 1990s - Dash Thru Traffic (1990) and Check Him Out (1999). The oldest $8 Million Sire is Pass ‘Em Up TB (1965), who also has the most winners at 741 and the most Register of Merit offspring at 801.
• Only two $8 Million Sires have a leading earner who made more than $1 Million – Llano Teller ($1,769,917) by Teller Cartel, and Heavenly ($1,045,796) by Pie In The Sky.
• Zevi TB has the most stakes winners among the $8 Million Sires at 61. Check Him Out has the least with 18.
• Bully Bullion has the most race age foals among the $8 Million Sires at 1,696. Apollo TB has the least race age foals (569) and the least number of winners (220).
• Pie In The Sky has the highest winners-to-starters ratio of any $8 Million Sire at 81%.
• Ronas Ryon is the only AQHA Hall of Famer among the $8 Million Sires.
$7 Million
• The $7 Million Sires represent 3.2% of all Million Dollar Sires.
• Hempen is the only Thoroughbred among the $7 Million Sires.
• First Moonflash, born in 2005, is the youngest $7 Million Sire, and is also the leading sire by average earnings per starter at $40,196.
• Seven $7 Million Sires achieved their status with leading money earners that did not earn more than $500,000.
• Only two $7 Million Sires had a leading earner who made more than $1 Million – Foose ($1,616,938) by
Stel Corona, and Handsome Jack Flash ($1,514,158) by

• Top Moon has the most race-age foals (1,829), starters
