Remington Park’s Chris Kotulak interviews owners Steve and Nina Holt after the race.
“She’s had four babies—all colts,” Holt said. “She’s my wife’s favorite mare, and we bred her back to Ivory James.”
In the Futurity, three horses raced in a line for second, with Irene Velasquez’s homebred
A Will And Away (Spit Curl Jess-Fly By The Mall) getting the nod by a head. David Brown piloted the gelding in both his trial victory and the final for trainer Verle Bohner.
James Sills’ Ground Hero (Valiant Hero- Libbys Cartel), ridden by Jimmy Brooks and trained by Eddie D. Willis, nabbed third, a

PYC Kant Katch Me has started only twice, but so far he has lived up to his name.
No one has caught him—not in his trial for
the Remington Park Futurity for Accredited Oklahoma-Breds, or in the Remington Park Juvenile, held April 14.
In the 330-yard Juvenile, PYC Kant Katch Me and jockey Cody Jensen
outbroke the horses on either
side of them, giving them
plenty of room for the run to the wire. Llano Cartel surged up to tussle with PYC Kant Katch Me from the inside for a few strides, but PYC Kant Katch Me drew off to win by a length in :16.877.

for the Futurity, the final of that $720,000 event held three races after the Juvenile, which was for non-qualifiers from the trials. PYC Kant Katch Me won his trial by three- quarters of a length, but his time of :16.810 was not quick enough to qualify for the final. In both his trial and the Juvenile, PYC Kant
Katch Me went off as the bet- ting favorite.
Weetona Stanley bred PYC Kant Katch Me in Oklahoma from Wanna Be Me, who finished second in the 1998 Miss Blackhawk Stakes. Eleven of the mare’s 14 starters have won, includ- ing stakes-placed Fly Like Me, Jess Wanna Fly, and CR Sugar N Spice.
