First Down Straw to Kendal Hills Stud Farm
First Down Straw (Strawfly Special-First Prize Dash, Dash For Cash) has been pur- chased by a partnership of Linda McCleery’s MLP From The Inside Inc. and Chantelle Bourgeois of Ontario. The stallion will stand the 2012 season at Kendal Hills Stud Farm in Campbellcroft, Ontario. A winner on the track, First Down Straw is out of AQHA Dam of Distinction First Prize Dash, a full sister to all-time leading sire First Down Dash. First Down Straw previously stood at AVS Equine in Tallahassee, Florida. He was the champion Accredited Florida Stallion in his first crop to race and he sired the Champion Florida-bred two-year-old
The Chocolate Rocket to Brazil
Grade 1 finalist and Grade 1 sire The Chocolate Rocket (Corona Cartel-Takem To Task, Takin On The Cash) has been purchased by Fernando and Karla Machado and will stand at Genetic Jump, Ltda, in Brazil. The Chocolate Rocket has sired six winners from 14 starters including Grade 1 winner A Mere Chocolate. His foals have average earnings per starter of $20,374.
