Dooks Golf Club

Golf has been played in Dooks since 1889 which makes the course Course Details Course Ranking
one of the oldest Golf Links in Ireland. Originally named Dooks &
Caragh GC, it was affiliated to the GUI in 1903. For 100 years the links Type Links TOP 100 COURSES
remained a steadfastly quirky, 9 holes monument to those early days 25
as the members resisted all efforts at modernisation. It was extended Par 71 RANKED IN IRELAND
to eighteen holes in the 1970s under the guidance of Eddie Hackett.
The course was further enhanced in 2002 by Martin Hawtree.

Old Head Golf Links
Co. Cork

Old Head Golf Links is built on a 220-acre diamond of land jutting out Course Details Course Ranking
over two miles into the Atlantic Ocean. The promontory is almost an
island with numerous caves running beneath your feet as you play Type Links TOP 100 COURSES
the course. The links and practice area occupy 180 acres and the 27
remaining 40 acres of unspoilt cliff frame the course. It is a piece of Par 72 RANKED IN IRELAND
golf real estate like no other, that causes many a golfer and visitor to
pinch themselves.
