To remedy and repair the damaged areas on the 1st green and its surrounds. To

GREENS enhance the putting surfaces and ensure they are in keeping with the
championship standard of the golf course.
To install new and repair old pathways and bridges throughout the course. To
INFRASTRUCTURE maintain their aesthetic integrity and consistency through the use of cut
limestone.
TREE MANAGEMENT To introduce more colour and texture throughout the golf course by implementing
a strategic tree planting programme.
DESIGN To identify design related issues and to implement solutions which will enhance
the playability and overall experience of the golf course.
VISTAS To enhance the views of Lough Leane, MacGillycuddy Reeks and the surrounding
Killarney National Park.
STANDARDS To continue to improve the overall conditioning of the Killeen Course in keeping
with its stature as an Irish Open venue.
