In the 1970’s Disney approached Earthflora's founder, Alvis Barrier, P.E., to
develop artificial plants and trees for the construction of Disney’s Epcot.

Since then, Earthflora has developed a realistic and natural looking line of IFR (Inherent Fire Retardant) Trees, Plants,
Grasses, and Florals. Specified by Architects, Commercial and Professional Plantscape Contractors, Fire Marshals,
the Federal Government (GSA) and Building Safety Managers, Autograph’s IFR standards are used internationally.

Earthflora’s silk IFR foliage has been tested under strict and rigid requirements. Fire Retardant Testing Passes:
• National Fire Prevention Association 701 Test for Non-Flammability
• ASTM-E84-95 Standard Test Methods for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Material.
Test is also published under the following designations: ANSI 2.5, NFPA 244, UBC 8-1 (42-1) UL 73. LIFETIME
WARRANTY
• California State Fire Marshall – Registered Flame Resistant Product – Registration No. F-37201
IFR qualities are
• Wiretec British Standard Tests – BS 476 Part 6 and BS 476 Part 7 permanent for the
• Toxicity and Pyrolysis Test – Singapore life of the item!

Earthflora's Inherent Fire Retardant foliage will NOT wash off, dissipate, drip off, or leave a messy, oily film.
Our Fire Retardant foliage becomes less flammable with age! The fire retardant is impregnated directly into
the fabric and polyethylene foliage prior to printing and injection molding.

All Inherent Fire Retardant Foliage will have a “R” in prefix and be indicated with Fire Retardant symbol.
Item numbers highlighted in RED can be special ordered as Fire Retardant. Please ask for quote.

All PVC material will have a “C” in the prefix and is Inherently Fire Retardant.
