CH (Maj) James Gunn for Nursing Education – Established by Elizabeth Gunn in 2015, this fund provides nursing scholarships for Baptist South, with preference given to team members who are pursuing degrees in nursing as a second career and also supports those who are pursuing their bachelor’s or advanced degree in nursing.
Chip & Jenifer Skinner Nursing Education – Arthur “Chip” and Jenifer Skinner established this fund in 2014 to provide funding for nursing scholarships for labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum and/or NICU nurses at Baptist South who are seeking to enhance their skills and expertise through continuing education, certification or conference attendance.
Cimarrone LGA Pink Ribbon Cancer Endowment – The RITA Foundation established this fund in 2017 to support women’s cancer programs at Baptist South.
Emans Family Patient Care – In 2014, Christopher Emans established this endowment to support Baptist South patients and families who are experiencing financial hardships.

Dorsey Family Fund – Established in 2023 by Katie and Kyle Dorsey, hospital president, this fund supports equipment, programs, services and staffing at Baptist South.
Joseph and Amy Davis Pastoral Care – Established in 2016, this fund supports pastoral care and clinical pastoral education at Baptist South.
Mary Virginia Faulkner Pastoral Care –
Established in 2014 by Jack S. Faulkner and family in memory of Mary Virginia, the purpose of this fund is to support pastoral care at Baptist South.
Myers Family Gynecology Surgery –
This fund was established in 2015 by Dr. and Mrs. Richard
Myers along with Matthew Myers to provide funding for gynecology surgery at Baptist South. Funds are used to enhance nursing and technician skills in gynecologic surgery.
President’s Venture
Fund – This fund supports priorities deemed strategic by Baptist South President which provides educations, research, outreach and clinical care programs for patients and their families and Baptist Health employees.
Rehabilitation Services at Baptist Medical Center South in Memory of Jefferson R. Edwards IV – Established in 2016 by Annette and Jefferson R. Edwards, III, MD, in memory of
their son, Jefferson R. Edwards IV, to provide rehab services at Baptist South in the area of physical and occupational therapy for patients who are either uninsured or underinsured.
Rich and Kristi Garside Patient Experience – Established in 2017 to ensure Baptist South remains annually focused on the latest training, programs, and reward and recognition for employees related to serving patients with excellence and compassion.
Shorstein Family Baptist South –
Established in 2014 by the Shorstein Family Foundation, the purpose of this gift is to provide financial support to Baptist South for equipment, training, capital improvements and other areas of need as designated by the hospital president.
