2024 Summer Convention | Letters from our Co-Chairs

Dear Friends, Guests and Members of the Southern Federation of Syrian Lebanese American Clubs,
Welcome to Jacksonville! It is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to each of you attending
the 93rd SFSLAC Summer Convention
in my hometown, Jacksonville. My
family and I have been attending these SFSLAC conventions for over 50 years. I am especially proud to be Co Chairman of this convention in our city.
The success of this convention
has been made possible through
the collaborative efforts of the
newly formed, 12 member, Arabic Club
of Jacksonville as we co-host this year with
the Southern Federation. Kudos to the members
of our Arabic Club who have worked diligently
and tirelessly. Thank you to all of the volunteers
of the Salaam Club of Florida for all of their time and efforts. And also to my Co Chairman, Paul Ossi, during this convention planning.
I would also like to thank the Southern Federation Convention Committee, Sharon Abercia, Sandy Moses and Trey Lavespere for all of their assistance throughout the convention planning process.
Please relax, reflect and enjoy this fun filled weekend as we share our rich culture and heritage which enables our families and friends to continue our traditions. God bless each of you and thank you from Jacksonville! Now...Let’s Dabke in DUUUVAL!

I would like to extend a warm welcome to the Federation Officers, Federation members, the Federation clubs and prospective Federation attendees for being a part of the 93rd annual
summer convention.
All of us in Jacksonville are excited to have everyone here. We have filled
the weekend with events for all ages, delicious meals daily, and
exceptional entertainment.
This convention could not have happened without the support
of the Arabic Club of Jacksonville, The Salaam club of Florida, and the
Federation Convention Committee. I would like to personally extend a big
thank you to the three organizations and all the volunteers who gave freely of their time over the last 12 months.
Lastly, I ask two things of everyone: First, leave your worries behind and have a fun filled weekend catching up with friends and family, building
new friendships, and dancing the night away. Second, when you see Sharon Abercia, Federation Chairwoman of Convention Committee, please thank her. Her dedication to the Federation is unmatched and without her this convention would not have happened.
Thank you again for joining us and supporting the Federation. May we all continue to proudly carry on our heritage.
