FRAME OPTIONS
INSIDE MOUNT
Z FRAMES
• Create a flush mount appearance.
• Provide the look of casing around a plain opening.
• Can be mounted directly to drywall or can be mounted on top of existing window molding.
• Available in Smooth and Decorative styles.
• Are routed out on the back side for mounting inside the window
opening.
• Are able to conceal an out of square opening.
• If necessary, may be ordered with a sill frame when mounting on an existing window sill.
• Special caution should be used on bullnose openings. Not all Z frames have a wide enough face to provide the required overlap. The Designer Z Frame should be considered for these openings.
L FRAMES
• Available in beaded or smooth profiles, L Frames are great for outside or inside mount applications.
• Available in 4 depths depending on louver clearance required.
• Are flat on the back and designed as an outside mount frame, but may be used as an inside mount when there is sufficient depth in the opening for louver clearance.
• Use as Inside Mount to create a flush look or when keeping the existing window trim is preferred.
• Use caution when selecting an inside mount L frame for use in an out of square opening. Caulk or Light Stop may be required to fill any gaps and prevent light bleed through.
• Deductions from the ordered measurements will automatically be taken by the factory on all inside mount applications. See the Measuring Guidelines section of the Shutters Product Reference Guide for further information.
