                 PRODUCT OPERATION, CARE and CLEANING
LOUVER CLOSURE
• Standard louver closure is in the upward position.
• Optional is up/down closure, where the louvers can be closed upward or downward, is available only for Composite Shutters.
• Wood Shutters fully close in the upward position only. PROPER OPERATION OF LOUVERS AND
PANELS
• Proper louver operation for both front and Gear Tilt is achieved by grasping an individual louver with the hand, and tilting the louvers to the desired angle.
• Care should be taken when operating louvers attached with a front tilt bar. The tilt bar is designed to connect all louvers together, not as a handle for opening panels.
• To open the shutter panel, tilt the louvers open, grasp the stile close to where the magnet is located, and pull outwards. Do not pull on the tilt bar to open the shutter panel, as this will loosen the connecting staples.
PROPER CLEANING METHODS FOR COMPOSITE & WOOD SHUTTERS
• Clean using a dry, soft feather duster, clean cloth, dust cloth or dusting mitt. A vacuum with a soft brush attachment may also be used.
• Ultrasonic cleaning or use of chemical solvents and scrubbing cleansers are not recommended, as they will damage the shutters.
• Protect shutters from exposure to steam, high moisture areas, rain or sprinkler systems to ensure their long life.
• When cleaning any window, spray glass cleaner on a cloth rather than spraying directly on the window. This will prevent damage to the finish from cleaner overspray.
