Sean began his scouting adventure when he joined Troop 309 in August 2018 and earned his First Class Rank in March 2021. Sean has served his Troop as Scribe, Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, and Order of the Arrow Representative.
Sean is a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow and has earned 37 Merit Badges, the 50-Miler Afoot Award, the World Conservation Award, and the National Outdoor Award for Camping, Hiking, and Conservation. He has attended summer camp at Camps Woodruff, Sequoyah, Shands, Buck Toms, and Philmont Scout Ranch.
For his Eagle Project, Sean assembled four bat houses and raised them on 20-foot aluminum poles at the Town of Orange Park’s Clarke Park. He also built flower bed bulkheads at the base of the poles to hold mulch and azaleas, cleaned up the nature trail, and attached informational signs along the fence line about the bat houses.
Sean is a senior at Fleming Island High School where he earned his Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) diploma, is a Principal’s Scholar, and is a member of the National Honor Society and the Robotics Team. He also serves as Vice President of the Robotics Club. After graduating, Sean plans to attend the University of Florida to pursue a degree in Computer Science. He aspires to establish a career in Cybersecurity, Data Analysis, or Web Design. He hopes to one day serve as an adult leader in Scouting when he has his own children.
