BRADEN WAYNE POLLOCK November 26, 2024
Braden began his scouting adventure when he joined Cub Pack 812 in August 2013 and earned his Bobcat, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos Ranks, and the Arrow of Light Award. He crossed over to Troop 309 in February 2018 and earned his First Class Rank in July 2019. Braden has served his Troop as Historian, Instructor, and Patrol Leader.
Braden is a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow and has earned 33 Merit Badges and the World Conservation Award. He has attended summer camp at Camp Shands, Woodruff, Rainey Mountain, Sequoyah, and Buck Toms.
For his Eagle Project, Braden built booths for Saint Catherine’s Church Fall Festival. These booths replaced older ones that the church had previously built which had begun to deteriorate. He also coordinated with an electrician who voluntarily repaired several broken fans on the property.
Braden is a senior at Fleming Island High School where he is part of the Drama program. He has been part of five separate productions, including one which won an award for its quality in a state-wide competition. After graduation, Braden plans to attend college to study Psychiatry and then establish a practice in Kansas City, Missouri. He also would like to give back to Scouting by becoming an adult leader.
