Communities In Schools was once named one of the top ten nonprofits “most likely to change the world” by Worth Magazine, and as we celebrate our 35th anniversary, we’re proud to live up to that distinction every day—just ask one of the thousands of students we’ve helped graduate.

Many of the students we serve face challenges like hunger and homelessness, along with the social and academic hurdles that could easily lead them to drop out. With one in four children in Duval County living in poverty, these issues are ever-present.

35 years, we’ve learned that getting students to graduate means supporting the

is embedded in local schools to address the root causes of academic difficulties.
