The most common location of an ectopic pregnancy is within the fallopian tube, specifically the ampulla of the tube.
Other locations for ectopic implantation include the isthmus of the tube, the fimbria, abdomen, cornu of the uterus, ovary, and cervix, with the least common locations being the latter two.
Though rare, patients can have an ectopic pregnancy and intrauterine pregnancy coexisting.
