As we all know Plastic pollution is caused due to the TRADE : WELDER (Day)
UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF : Swagat Sahoo
accumulation of the waste plastic material in the Date :
environment. Plastic is a non bio-degradable
substance. It doesn’t get disposed off in the soil or
water and its effect is worse when burnt. It is thus a
challenge to dispose it off. It remains in the
environment for hundreds of years and causes air,
water and land pollution. It is hazardous for the
humans, animals as well as the plants. Several animals,
birds and marine creatures die due to plastic pollution
each year.
WHAT WE DID IN THIS PROJECT:
In this project first we clean the campus and collected all
the plastic which can be reused because in this project we
learned some ways to use less plastic on our campus.
Some Example:
Reusable water bottles.
Paper over plastic
Wire or velvet hangers
Ice cream cones over cups
Reusable bags
Importance of plastic free campus :
Plastic pollution is a real issue – just look around
Plastics are made from oil and gas and their
production harms our environment from added
greenhouse gases.
Nature can’t digest it, Plastics break UP into smaller
pieces called micro-plastics. It never breaks down.
Plastics are now found everywhere: in our food,
drink, in nature and all over the planet..
