TEAMWORK
Teamwork is one of the core value of
MPT South. It is one of the most
important skill that a company should
have to achieve the desired goal.
Teamwork is the collaborative effort of
a team to achieve a common goal or
to complete a task in the most
effective and efficient way.
Below are key points on how to create
effective teams:
Develop a vision – ensure everyone
understands the big picture. The
team vision must directly support
the company’s overall vision and
strategy.
Identify a common purpose – clearly
define the purpose of the team,
including the overall outcome it has
been brought together to achieve.
Adaptability – as a member of a
team, you need to adapt yourself to
others in order to be a good team
player.
Assign clear roles and
responsibilities – each position is
associated with sets of
responsibilities. It is important to
communicate the roles and
responsibilities to the employees.
Listen and observe – listen first to
communicate clearly.
Provide feedback – regular feedback
is the glue that holds a productive,
engaged team together. Well
delivered feedback creates cohesion
among team members.
Create a team spirit – a workplace
infused with team spirit is the one
that is energised, innovative and
motivated.
Support each other – it is important
to support each other in a team so
that the team will be successful
whenever it comes to reaching its
goals.
Delegate decision-making –
empowers members of the team to
independently decide solutions to
problems.
Celebrate accomplishments – make
time to regularly recognise, reward
and celebrate team milestones. This
will help to build morale and bolster
the motivation of the group to
continue their hard work.
