The first mentioned on the list has got to be one of the most iconic babes of the 1980s, Brooke Shields. She was most famous for being in The Blue Lagoon and Endless Love. She was also iconic enough to be named after our canteen fare - the cekodok Brooke Shields.
Shields was linked with many famous men - some a bit questionable now, like George Michael and Michael Jackson. She famously married and divorced tennis star, Andre Agassi.

Despite not having many box-office Hollywood hits, Shields continues to act. She had a guest role in Friends, did many Lifetime / Hallmark movies and starred in Grease, Chicago and Cabaret on stage. She is 56 now.
Phoebe Cates can be considered as rival poster girl to Brooke Shields during our time at Koleq. I remember her (and Shields’) posters being sold at the pasar malam. She is probably most remembered for her role in Gremlins although her most ... ehem ... breakout role is in Fast Times At Ridgemont High where she “breaks out” of her bikini top.
Like Shields, Cates didn’t find too much box-office success in Hollywood after Gremlins. Her last starring role was in Princess Carraboo back in 1994 although she did make a comeback in the ensemble film, The Anniversary Party in 2001.
Cates, 58, married actor Kevin Kline and they have been happily married.
