The setting
A big empty room except for only five chairs.
ACT 1
SCENE: Only one window is open in the dim light room, enough for puffs of cigar smoke to seep through it, little bits of lightning lighting up the almost dark room, slowly revealing the faces of the five men with the look of gangsters – Boss, Eric, Lobbo, Orc, Tom - seated on their respective chairs. There is only silence except for the sound of thunder which resonates across the room and soon after, rain starts falling down. All of them seem to be in waiting... for something...
Boss continues smoking his cigar while Eric, Lobbo, Orc and Tom looking at him with full of tense. Boss looks at each and one of them fixedly and directly, staring them in their eyes.
BOSS (to Lobbo – firm and cynical): How do you think he feels now? Better? Or worse?
Lobbo sits up, trying not to note the cynical remark. He looks perplexed. He follows Boss’ eyes to look convincing that he is not guilty.
LOBBO:
What is that?
BE
Boss is upset that Lobbo does not understand his question.
What is that? Yes. What is it?
BOSS: LOBBO: BOSS:
Our brother you killed. I’m asking you, do you think he feels better now that he’s in heaven? Or worse, to be in hell thanks to you.
