Middletown: Holy Trinity Church at Clark and Cooper streets
Left: Holy Trinity Church at 119 South Clark Street was Middletown’s rst Roman Catholic church, founded in 1852. The church, which was built on what was com- monly referred to as the “Clark Street Rise,” was razed and a larger church was built in its place in 1899.
The church was spared from ooding during the 1913 ood because of its location on higher ground.
Right: Holy Trinity Church is now part of Holy Family Parish, which was created in 1991 from the former parishes of St. John, St. Mary and Holy Trinity.
