Hamilton: Lane Library
Below: Local philanthropist Clark Lane built the Lane Library in 1866 and donated it to the city. The library – on the corner of North Third and Buckeye streets – is one of the oldest public libraries west of the Alleghenies. During the 1913  ood, up to 12 feet of water rushed through the area, destroying the south part of the building.
