The Miami Conservancy District employed thousands of workers during the construction of its innovative ood protection system. North of Piqua on Loramie Creek, workers built Lockington Dam, one of ve dry dams that keeps oodwater from inundating the homes and businesses in cities downstream, along the Great Miami River.
