West Carrollton: Pease Avenue
Left: Icy cold oodwater encircled all of the homes near West Pease Avenue, which experienced about 8 feet of ooding.
Below: Many of the houses on Pease Avenue remain today but a couple of lots have taken on a new look with “green” housing by the Litehouse Development Group. This home features energy-ef cient technology and water-conservation systems, including rain gardens and pervious pavers. The Miami Conservancy District funded the water-conservation projects through a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency grant.
