Above One hundred years later, nearly all of the houses pictured during the ood remain, including the Nicholas house and its sturdy front porch. In this 2012 photo, roofers are working on the porch to maintain and improve this historic structure.
The West Carrollton School District’s Nicholas Elementary School, located in the city of Moraine, is named after Judge Nicholas, an alumnus of the West Carrollton school system.
