Franklin: River and Jackson streets
Right: Flooding in Franklin was not as severe as in other communities because much of the city sits at a higher elevation from the river.
The Edward Tracy house was located on the corner of Front (River) and Jackson streets north of downtown in Franklin. Edward
Tracy, an Irish immigrant, worked in local paper mills. The family had a neighborhood grocery store at the corner of Clay and Main streets. Mr. Tracy acquired the house in 1908.
Far Right: One hundred years later, the Edward Tracy house continues to display its charm. The Miami Conservancy District maintains miles of paved recreation trail in several cities, including a section in Franklin behind the Tracy house.
