enesys Elizah Rice was born on July 19, 2004 to Mr. George Rice, Sr. and Mrs.
Lisandra Hendricks in Jersey City, New Jersey. She was educated in Jersey City, New
Jeresy and Clinton, South Carolina and graduated from Penn Foster High School on Feb-
ruary 25, 2022. She was preceded in death by her uncle, Jimmy Rice and aunts, Shirley
Rice Garner and Robin Rice Johnson.
Genesys was affectionately called Ginny by friends and loved ones. She enjoyed being in the company of her
family and friends, especially her sisters. Ginny is known for her infectious laughter and her love of life. She
enjoyed her time involved in ROTC in Clinton High School with all of her many, many friends. Ginny could
often be found speaking her mind with passion and enjoyed a rigorous debate. She was passionate about being a
mother and she adored her beautiful, darling, lovely princesses. Ginny could be found styling and braiding her
sisters’, mother’s, friends’ and neighbors’ hair. She was a good hair stylist. She could have easily parlayed her
skills into a life long career. Genesys will be missed, but these words are inadequate to express the magnitude
of our sorrow.
Most importantly, in 2010, she professed a hope in Christ and was baptised, under Pastor Atkens of Elzee AME,
in Clinton, South Carolina. She was blessed to be a member of the choir and the usher board, where she served
