Evelyn Whiteside Betts, a woman of unwavering faith, boundless love, and unyielding strength was born to Robert Prelude
and Wydella Whiteside on February 10th, 1926. On May 23rd, 1944, Evelyn embarked on a lifelong journey of love,
marrying Leo Betts. Together they shared 14 children (Leon, JoAnn (Doug), Bobbie, Dorolis, Jerry, William, Robert, Processional The Family of Evelyn Whiteside Betts
James, Al, Ron, Leo, Joseph, Della, and Angel). She raised 3 grandchildren (Terry, Evelyn, and Shawn).

From an early age, Evelyn dedicated her life to God at Baptist Grove Missionary Baptist Church. There, she not only
nurtured her own faith but also contributed to the spiritual growth of others as a devoted Sunday school teacher and the Prayer Pastor Jerome Tolliver
president of the ushers. Later in life, Evelyn continued her spiritual journey at Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church, Song Sherry Betts
where she took on the role of head mother of the mother's board. Evelyn’s commitment to community extended beyond
